Whilst we only enrol children aged 2 – 6 years our Academy offers supportive services to children up to the age of 10 year.

Operational Information & Holistic Approach to Autism Intervention at Amazing K
At Amazing K, we are dedicated to providing a holistic, strengths-based approach to autism intervention, ensuring every child receives the specialized support they need to thrive. We believe in embracing neurodiversity, fostering independence, and creating a nurturing environment where each child’s unique abilities are valued and developed.
Structured Term Schedule
Amazing K operates on a four-term calendar, aligning with the ISASA schedule, as many of the children we support have sibling in private schools. Our children will also at some point need to transition into traditional school settings. While we provide intensive intervention during term time, we do not offer holiday programs.
Our fee structure offers flexible payment options, including:
- Monthly payments over 12 months payable on a month in advance basis
- Quarterly payment options
- Annual upfront payments with a 5% discount
Dietary Considerations & Mealtime Environment
We recognize that many children with autism experience food sensitivities, sensory aversions, and restricted eating patterns, which is why meals are not provided as part of our programme. However, our intervention centre is equipped refrigerators and microwaves, allowing families to send meals that align with their child’s unique dietary and sensory preferences.

Our therapeutic academy model ensures that children benefit from:
- A low student-to-therapist/teacher ratio (3:1 or 4:1) based on age and level of support required.
- An integrated therapy model that incorporates speech therapy, occupation centered therapy, and behavioural intervention within a structured classroom setting.
- A school readiness programme that annually assists in reintegrating a select number of children into mainstream education, crèches, and specialised schools.

Amazing K is committed to maintaining a team of highly qualified professionals, ensuring that our children receive expert-led intervention:
- Our therapy team is permanently employed by Amazing K Pty Ltd, ensuring continuity and consistency in intervention.
- All medical professionals are registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
- Minimum qualification requirements for team members typically include Honours degrees in a variety of related fields such as Psychology, Social Services, Speech Therapy or Occupation Therapy.
Our assistant team members come from care-giving and early childhood development backgrounds, particularly in groups where children require additional support with feeding, toileting, and personal care.
